twenty years of friendship!
My good friends from college and their families came to visit us for a week! We spent last week up at Lummi Island beachcombing, clamming, walking, playing, eating delicious home-cooked food, talking, talking, talking, and being together. It was so much fun!
I am grateful for the older girls being so kind and gentle and helpful with the little ones.
I am grateful for all the delicious food we all cooked. The s'mores, the ice cream, the fresh veggies, the king salmon, pasta, sandwiches...
I am grateful that all three of us (me, H, and K) are married to terrific people who are caring fathers and fun guys. And I am grateful that the "dads" took care of the kids so much while the three of us talked and talked and talked. And talked.
I am grateful that I had the chance to get to know all the kids I hear so much about -- T, K, and D. Such beautiful girls and powerful people.
I am grateful that Lummi Island is so beautiful and that my parents' generosity allowed us to share this special place with our friends.
I am grateful to have friends who KNOW me absolutely through and through and can set me right and straight in the blink of an eye.
I am grateful that we really did it -- we got together, all of us for the first time, 16 years after graduation!
I am grateful that we're already talking about doing it again.
